View allIs energy transition simply a new popular expression?
Just what is energy transition?
When we talk about energy transition, we are referring to the gradual replacement of fossil fuels by a greener energy source such as renewable natural gas and green hydrogen, but also by energy efficient measures.
In the context of a climate emergency, such a transition aims to achieve shared climate goals by reducing greenhouse gases and resource consumption. Energy transition is a shift to green! That shift, which is synonymous with change, helps guide and develop measures that protect the environment.
The transition at Gazifère
While it may mean different things to different companies, for Gazifère, which has been a natural gas distributor for more than 60 years, energy transition is definitely more than just a new popular expression or a wish: it is a solid reality that translates into a vision and a strategy.
Our ambition is clear: Gazifère will become the first natural gas distributor in North America to offer a system comprising 100% green and renewable energy. And we will achieve this by adjusting our offer while developing tangible new initiatives, some of which are already in place while others are in the pipeline. Gazifère also aims to be an agent of change by guiding residents and local businesses through that shift so that we can all work together on reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.
