A variable speed hood can reduce your energy use by up to 35%. This system consists of a variable speed fan that enables you to vary the flow of air drawn by the hood depending on the amount of heat/smoke/vapour coming from your cooking appliances. A variable speed hood captures warm air and helps reduce the amount of outside air that needs to be heated.

Buy a variable speed hood and a variable speed condensing tempered air generator, and receive a rebate of $3,350 + $0.95/CFM (cubic feet per minute).

You can make arrangements for installation by any licensed natural gas contractor, but Gazifère proposes two authorized agents that specialize in the installation of natural gas appliances

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?

STEP 1: SEND US YOUR PRE-ADMISSION FORM
In order to receive the financial assistance offered by Gazifère, you will need pre-admission approval before the appliance is installed.

STEP 2: OBTAIN GAZIFÈRE’S APPROVAL

Gazifère will confirm receipt of the pre-admission form within 10 working days. Gazifère processes pre-admissions on a first come, first served basis, and depending on the availability of funds.

STEP 3: ARRANGE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW APPLIANCE

STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
You must include the following two documents:

• The technical data sheet of the appliance

• The invoice for the purchase of the appliance

The invoice must be dated in the current year. The model number of the installed appliance and the date of installation must be indicated. The date of installation must be later than your pre-admission.
