BEWARE – DOOR-TO-DOOR SOLICITATION
What you should know:
Gazifère seldom goes door-to-door. A Gazifère representative will never ask to enter your home unless you made an appointment ahead of time.
If someone shows up at your door offering to discuss your appliances, request their ID card to confirm which company they work for.
- A Gazifère representative will always show the colour logo, along with the representative’s photo and name. Remember that Gazifère does not sell appliances: it only rents them out. If you believe that someone is misrepresenting themselves as a Gazifère employee or representative, contact Gazifère’s Customer Service at 819-771-8321.
- If the person is a representative of another company and offers to replace your appliances, make sure they have a licence from the Corporation des maîtres mécaniciens en tuyauterie du Québec (CMMTQ) AND a natural gas fuelled systems contractor licence issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec(RBQ). If they do not have either one of these licences, their services are not protected.
IMPORTANT: think very carefully before showing anyone your Gazifère bill, as it contains personal information that could be used fraudulently.
