Condensing boilers provide optimal efficiency due to their ability to draw a maximum amount of heat from combustion gases before they burn.

Gazifère offers financial assistance with the purchase or rental of condensing boilers rated at 90% or greater energy efficiency. The financial assistance offered by Gazifère ranges between $900 and $25,000*, reducing the difference between the higher cost of a condensing boiler and a basic unit.

WORTH CONSIDERING: For a condensing boiler, optimal performance essentially depends on proper installation. In order to achieve high energy efficiency, Gazifère suggests that you talk to a certified natural gas contractor to ensure that the appliance is installed with a heating system where the return water temperature to the boiler is 55 C (131 F) or less.

You can make arrangements for installation by any licensed natural gas contractor, but Gazifère proposes two authorized agents that specialize in the installation of natural gas appliances:

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?

STEP 1: SEND US YOUR PRE-ADMISSION FORM
In order to receive the financial assistance offered by Gazifère, you will need pre-admission approval before the appliance is installed.

STEP 2: OBTAIN GAZIFÈRE’S APPROVAL

Gazifère will confirm receipt of the pre-admission form within 10 working days. Gazifère processes pre-admissions on a first come, first served basis, and depending on the availability of funds.

STEP 3: ARRANGE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW APPLIANCE

The following declaration form must be filled out by the installer when the appliance is installed. (One form per appliance.)

Gazifère will use this form to ensure that the appliance for which it is providing financial assistance yields optimal efficiency and is consistent with the manufacturer’s standards. To that end, Gazifère requires that the combustion analysis indicate 90% minimum efficiency, and that the appliance have a temperature control probe if it is used jointly for space heating and domestic hot water.

The declaration form must be reviewed by the Gazifère technical supervisor before the client’s eligibility can be confirmed under the program.

STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
You must include the following two documents:

• The technical data sheet of the appliance

• The invoice for the purchase of the appliance

The invoice must be dated in the current year. The model number of the installed appliance and the date of installation must be indicated. The date of installation must be later than your pre-admission.

• The declaration form

The declaration form must be filled out by the installer when the appliance is installed. (One form per appliance.)

STEP 5: OBTAIN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Gazifère will review your application. If information is missing, we will contact you promptly.

You will be informed in writing as to whether your application for financial assistance has been approved or turned down. If approved, the amount will be indicated, and a cheque will be mailed to the address provided on the pre-admission form.
